Trace Heating, Adhesive Lined, Heatshrink End Boot Caps

  Data sheet  Heatshrink End Boots : -55°C to +105°C



 Apply the correct heat shrink end cap, make
 sure the cable is cleaned completely, then
 heat all around the end cap until it is fully
 shrunk down onto the cable and the adhesive
 begins to ouse (seen to be forced out of cap)     
 outwards.



 When End Caps have fully shrunk around the cable
 or component, allow the endcap to cool down on its       
 own accord, otherwise the adhesive sealant will not
 bond successfully.

 If shrinking onto metal and you do not get a satisfactory    
 finish, then you will need to contact us for a remedy, if
 it is our End Cap you are using.

Shrink temperature : +120°C to +130°C
Use gas flames for shrinking Heatshrink End Boot Caps.

 End Caps Heat Shrink End Caps are (Molded) Moulded pre-formed shapes, semi-rigid, spirally adhesive lined polyolefin manufactured by cross-linking, supplied with inner spiralled adhesive lining for excellent environmental sealing on cable components in the field.
 End BootsHeat shrink molded Endcaps are widely used in the Electricity, and for dismantling, demolition of substations, sealing the ends of power cables with a super water tight seal. Internally, it is coated with a spiralled layer of hot-melt adhesive. Heat Shrink End Caps are recommended for applications in open air and on underground power distribution cables, PVC, Lead & XPLE sheaths.
  Heat shrink endcaps  Telecommunication, Signal, Marine & Broadband Cable TV, Trace Heating and Underfloor heating are other industries for cable end boot sealing & other switch related applications, another application; to protect young children in playground assembly climbing areas.

Heat Shrink End Caps are unaffected by UV light with good chemical, solvent & abrasion resistance.
  Heat shrink end caps  Operating temperature range : -55°C to +110°C. However, the hot-melt soften and flow temperature of adhesive is around +85°C, greater than this temperature and the heat shrink end cap might slip off, but the actual Heat Shrink End Cap will successfully operate at figures shown continuously.

  End Boot Caps  Colours : -0, Black only. Size range 14.5/4.5mm up to largest size is now *200/90mm, please disregard data sheet sizes shown.
