'Heat shrink tubing' and cloth fabric heatshrink tubing,
operating temperatures -200°C to +260°C

Heatshrink tubing (also known as heat shrink), a tubing which shrinks in diameter when thermal heat is applied and should stay within set tolerances longitudinally (horizontally) when the correct temperature is applied to the heat-shrink. As the diameter shrinks the wall thickness does the opposite and starts to increase. Polyolefin heat shrink tubing shrinks at +135°C, so does dual wall polyolefin heat shrink tubing, where as PVDF or Kynar starts to shrink at +175°C, and PTFE will begin to shrink at temperatures greater than +327°C. By using the correct temperature one avoids burning the jacket sleeve. Heat shrink tubing is used as a jointing insulation for solderings, can also be used for low voltage, medium voltage and high voltage busbar insulation, repairing wires, on cable harnesses, military and defense applications, wiring harnessing and general tidying up products.
