PolyTetraFluoroEthylene in a Standard, Thin, Heavy, Imperial or Metric wall, these materials have excellent chemical weather resistance & low friction which gives fluoro-plastic tubings their very unique properties and places primarily with the electrical industry.

These Polytetrafluoroethylenes are extremely stable at high temperatures.

Sleevings are a couple of the few polymers that retains a measure of toughness & strength even at cryogenic temperatures.

PTFE is virtually inert to all chemicals, solvent resistance - organic solvents do not attack or dissolve, the same applies to PFTE Tubing, BS2848 Type 6, 250T

Poly-tetra-fluoro-ethylene has an extremely low co-efficient of friction & has excellent non stick properties preventing the build-up of sediments. Weathering of PFTE Tubing, Sleeving, Spiralwrap, Convoluted Conduits are extremely hydrophobic.

PolyTetraFluoroEthylene Tubing and Sleeving could be classed as low smoke zero halogen free ONLY up to +260C In actual fact these PTFE tubing & sleeving are non-flammable but sadly are not halogen free above +260C however their melt temperature to (320 to 340C), above this temperature and the material will begin combusting. They are UV resistant, Oxygen resistant and are Ozone resistant, but sadly not halogen free. Keep the temperature within +260C and they are halogen free that is the answer.
