These Polytetrafluoroethylenes are extremely stable at high temperatures.

Sleeving are a couple of the few polymers that retains a measure of toughness & strength even at cryogenic temperatures.

Poly-tetra-fluoro-ethylene has an extremely low co-efficient of friction & has excellent non stick properties preventing the build-up of sediments. Weathering of PFTE tubing, sleeving, Spiralwrap, Convoluted conduits are extremely hydrophobic.

Tubing & Sleeving Temperatures

PolyTetraFluoroEthylene Tubing and Sleeving could be classed as low smoke zero halogen free ONLY up to +260C In actual fact these PTFE tubing & sleeving are non-flammable but sadly are not halogen free above +260C however their melt temperature to (320 to 340C), above this temperature and the material will begin combusting. They are UV resistant, Oxygen resistant and are Ozone resistant, but sadly not halogen free. Keep the temperature within +260C and they are halogen free that is the answer.

PTFE does not have to be just tubing or sleeves, we do offer 2 types of (4:1) Heat shrink tubing and (2:1) heat shrink sleeving in either continuous reels or per 1.2m stick lengths, 4:1 heat shrink tubing from sizes 2.0 to 38.1mm, call for 4:1

Heat Shrink Tubing

As a guide, 2:1 heat shrink sleeving is supplied on continuous reels, so you must take whatever the reel size is, you cannot ask for just 5m, 10mtrs.
